My favorite feedback to hear from students

It's a huge compliment when a student tells me they had FUN during a lesson!

There's so much old-school language learning that relies on using shame and fear. I'm sure a lot of us can think of at least one bad teacher we've had in the past who was like this.

Thankfully, there are now many educators who are committed to doing things differently, and I am proud to be one of them.

I want my students to feel emotions like...

🤔curiosity

💪🏼the exhilaration of "good stress" that comes from being right on the edge of your comfort zone, &

💡the joy of discovery

This isn't just ~vibes~ either... the neuroscience research on learning shows that an old-school approach doesn't work nearly as well as an approach based on human connections, openness, and meeting learners where they're at.

Language learning can be enjoyable when it's done right.

And what makes it fun for me, is helping my students find new things to appreciate about French, and seeing their progress as they keep learning and growing 🌱

I'm now booking in new students for summer 2024! You can sign up to work with me here :)
