• Recognizing that learning a new language can require vulnerability, and helping learners feel more and more confident over time

• Academic rigour (when appropriate) and getting the details right

• Supporting learners to have fun and enjoy the process, instead of feeling nervous or stressed

• Having a sense of humour, leaning into the fact that sometimes language learning can be very silly! (Like when you are practicing your nasal vowel sounds)

• Celebrating the cultural and linguistic diversity of La Francophonie and the Anglophone world

• Cultivating emotions like curiosity, excitement, a sense of mastery, and the joy of discovery
